EVERGREEN TERRACE Announces New Album Title
April 27, 2009Jacksonville, Florida hardcore act EVERGREEN TERRACE has set "Almost Home" as the title of its new album, due in September via Metal Blade Records. The follow-up to 2007's "Wolfbiker" will be recorded in part at AudioHammer Studios in Sanford, Florida. with Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, JOB FOR A COWBOY) overseeing the vocal recording and mixing sessions and the rest of the recording taking place with Stan Martell at Martell Studios in Kingsland, Georgia.
Commented guitarist Josh James: "Crunch time has now approached us, with just one week before we go into the studio. As always, we've given a lot and gone through even more during this writing period. From a member of the band leaving to a death in the family, we have accepted the changes that have come and gone in our lives and it all shows in this next batch of songs. I think this record will surprise the new listeners as well as have the old ones stoked. I'd say its best described as a good mixture of 'Burned Alive by Time' and 'Wolfbiker', but, of course, like every band says, 'It's the best record we've done yet!' If you already hate our band then chances are you'll hate this record, if you already love our band then be prepared to have a new favorite EVERGREEN TERRACE record. Regardless, we're stoked.”
Tara of Melbourne, Australia's "1700" conducted an interview with vocalist Andrew Carey and guitarist Josh James of EVERGREEN TERRACE when the band played Australia's Soundwave Festival earlier this year. Watch the chat below.
"Wolfbiker" was released in July 2007 via High Impact Recordings/Metal Blade Records. The follow-up to 2005's "Sincerity is an Easy Disguise in This Business" was recorded at Vision Sound in Florida and was mixed by Jason Livermore.
